Did the touristy last night and went to Rockefeller Center to see the tree.

Nutcracker

Hanging out with the giant Nutcrackers.

Radio City Music Hall

Radio City Music Hall

They have these in SF, too.

We have these in SF around the holiday time too.

Tree Lights See Lights

I got these adorable houndstooth earmuffs from a tiny costume jewelry boutique for $5.

Supposedly the tree was supposed to be giant, but apparently I had my expectations raised exorbitantly through hearsay because I honestly didn’t find it as impressive as hearsay had me believe. And it was colorful; enough so that I would dare say it would look better in my home in the Bronx (definitely garish and colorful enough for E. Fordham Road).

Union Square Holiday Bazaar

Also dropped by Union Square Holiday Bazaar, but it was too cold and the prices too high for poor college students like me.

You can definitely feel the cold winter chill now in New York City.

Oof Lights

I should really decide what exactly is it that I want to do with this blog. In the meantime, I finally got around to walking the Brooklyn Bridge this weekend after perusing SoHo. Oh, and I finally had Quickly’s since last being in California. I was so excited like you don’t know! (And there was a student discount!) Oh boy do I love Chinatown.

Smile

Smile. I found my favorite earrings (since my skull ones have lost themselves) and paired with a chain-and-lock necklace, I had a bit of a punk accessorizing set going.

View of Manhatten

View of Manhatten from the beginnings of the pedestrian walkway. Almost got run over by a bike somewhere around taking these photos, too.

Outfit 2

Looking shifty or going "WTF! is that ghost standing there." The mood was quite gorgeously creepy.

Pedestrian Crossing

Pedestrian path; do make note to stay on it. Of course the little car-things chauffeuring set workers for the moving they were filming pushed you all the way to the side at times.

City at Night

Manhattan at night.

So in the last two months since posted, I’ve been from California to China and back and then to New York, where I am currently. It’s been a hectic two months that still hasn’t settled yet, because now, 2 weeks into college, I’m already backlogged with work and readings. Half of that is because as of this morning, 1 hour ago, I still only have about 60% of my books and am missing some key, very necessary, books for my macro class.

Today also happens to be one of my friend’s birthday, so as she is the princess of the weekend, gets to dictate where our fate goes for the remainder of the day. We will be off to central park in a few hours, thus making me more broke than I already am, it being not even halfway into the month and me already being perilously low on funds.

Of course, it must be taken into consideration that I purchased 4 pairs of shoes and a new jacket in the last week or so.

Perhaps soon, when I’m procrastinating, I will reminisce my trip to China and my ardent desire to go back again next summer. For now, I need to clean my quarter of the giant quad that is my dorm room.
