I ordered the hat especially for the shoot and never actually wore it; I should dig it out sometime.
This is old and a re-post from my old blog, but I like this series so much that I can’t help it. Thinking about it now, this is also my favorite set of photographs – it was staged, but undoubtedly more natural than the other fashion photographs I’ve taken recently. For all the purported “modeling” experience of ROP practices (not), I think I just know my friends better.
Anyway, these were taken for my 11th grade Multi-Genre Project. My person of choice was Amelia Earhart.

The sun came out just in time; it'd been raining only half an hour before.

The red thing in the back is actually a real engine, overgrown with vines.
I got Ariel to model for me, and I have to say she definitely has the Earhart vibe going; very unique thinking, that woman (Earhart, I mean) – though she wasn’t exactly a good flyer. Just a famous one.

Did you know Amelia Earhart had her own fashion line? It was designed for the “woman on the move.” Unfortunately, it was only in existence for less than a year, but nevertheless the lady had style, not limited to aviator’s cap, leather jacket, and boots. She was one of the best dressed women of her time and is one of my style icons. I’m serious. I even wrote an article on it.
