I ordered the hat especially for the shoot and never actually wore it; I should dig it out sometime.
This is old and a re-post from my old blog, but I like this series so much that I can’t help it. Thinking about it now, this is also my favorite set of photographs.
Anyway, these were taken for my 11th grade Multi-Genre Project. My person of choice was Amelia Earhart.

The sun came out just in time; it'd been raining only half an hour before.

The red thing in the back is actually a real engine, overgrown with vines.
I got Ariel to model for me, and I have to say she definitely has the Earhart vibe going; very unique thinking, that woman (Earhart, I mean) – though she wasn’t exactly a good flyer. Just a famous one.

Did you know Amelia Earhart had her own fashion line? It was designed for the “woman on the move.” Unfortunately, it was only in existence for less than a year, but nevertheless the lady had style, not limited to aviator’s cap, leather jacket, and boots.
